All of our bloodlines come from the most well know and respected South African Boerboels in the breed. If you look at relatives of our dogs and parents you will see nothing but breed leading top producers.

It is well known and commonly accepted amongst dog breeders that genotype determines phenotype. What that means is you can look at a dogs ancestors and estimate what the dog will be able to produce. In dog breeding there are no gurantee. A pedigree is only one ingredient of an entire recipe for determining a dogs breeding abilities. It is important to look at as many related dogs as you can possibly find. Any health issues that relatives may have may also be present in your dog. Ultimately the proof will be in the puppies.

No matter how much study a dogs pedigree it can only account for so much in what the total dog will be like. The total dog must be taken into account . Firstly all dogs are going to be dogs. Meaning , all dogs share species related charateristics and traits. Second look at a dogs pedigree. The pedigreee plays an role in determining the type of dog I will be raising. If I am looking for working stock then I must look to dogs that have been selected and bred for their working abilities. If I am looking for show stock then I must go to show dogs with winning show dogs in the pedigrees. This does not gurantee that I will get show or working stock It just increases the odds.One must never forget in dog breeding the are no gurantees.

There is no way to gurantee that every pup born healthy will remain healthy for its entire life based entirely on the pedigree. The best that any breeder can do is gurantee the dog be healthy or offer a replacement. Mmany factors determine whether a pup will grow into a healthy dog. Excersise diet and lifestyle all play important role in shaping the health of your companion.
